Utah Professor Resigns After 'Abhorrent' Anti-Protest Tweets

A Utah criminal justice professor says he's resigned after writing an inflammatory series of tweets about nationwide protests against police brutality. Scott Senjo told The Associated Press in an email Wednesday that he agrees his tweets were wrong and his resignation from Weber State University would be effective immediately. In tweets over the weekend, Senjo said it was excellent that a black reporter had been hit by police in New York City and indicated he would have driven a police car into a crowd of people. Senjo had taught at the university in Ogden for more than 20 years.
